Sarwari Qadri Order
Sarwari Qadri Order is most authentic Sufi order of Islam. It can be traced back to all of its ancestors without any doubt or break. The word Sarwari means leader denoting allegiance upon the hand of Prophet Mohammad pbuh. Moreover, Qadri refers to the beneficence ofShaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani among the order. Previously, the Sufi order was known as Qadri having 2 off-shoots Zahidi and Qadri. However, Sultan Bahoo continued this order by the name and practices of Sarwari Qadri Order. Sultan Bahoo is the major reason for the order’s popularity in the Subcontinent. This Islamic Sufi order continues to date with increasing number of devotees everyday.
Off shoots of Sarwari Qadri order -Kaleed-ul-Tauheed Kalan
Qadri order has two off shoots: One is Sarwari Qadri and the other is Zahidi Qadri. Sarwari Qadri spiritual guide has perfect command over contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat. When he blesses the seeker with the spiritual education and Divine guidance through Ism-e-Allah Zaat, he grants him the status equal to his own on the very first day. The seeker becomes indifferent and independent of all needs, his attention remains focused only on the Truth. Hence, gold and soil become equal for him. On the contrary, the follower of Zahidi Qadri order has to devote at least twelve years to very hard mystic struggles, so much so that his stomach remains empty. After twelve years, he becomes eligible to be present before Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani and attains the status of a spiritually lost (majdhub) devotee, while the status of a Sarwari Qadri is that of a beloved devotee. (Kaleed-ul-Tauheed Kalan)
Ain-ul-Faqr
The Qadri way is dominant over time and space. There are two off-shoots of Qadri way: One is Zahidi Qadri and the other is Sarwari Qadri. What is the difference between the two? Sarwari Qadri is the mystic way that the Holy Prophet conferred upon me. He took my oath of allegiance (al-bayah) and commanded me to guide the men of Allah with spiritual courage. After blessing me with inward persuasion, he held my hand and entrusted me to Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani.
He also blessed me and ordered to give spiritual persuasion to people. By his grace, every seeker whom I guided thereafter, physically or spiritually, through the medium of Ism-e-Allah Zaat and Ism-e-Mohammad, was bestowed with the presence in the Mohammadan Assembly without any struggle or invocation. Then, there remained no veil between Allah and that seeker and he observed Ism-e-Allah Zaat wherever he looked. The Sarwari Qadri way is very beneficent and courageous.
In the other mystic ways, some seekers were burnt to death by the blaze of Ism-e-Allah Zaat, some could not bear the burden of Ism-e-Allah Zaat and retreated while some apostatized and were cursed. (Ain-ul-Faqr)
Mehak-ul-Faqr Kalan
Remember there are two kinds of Sarwari Qadri way. One is Zahidi Qadri in which the seeker appears to be doing hard mystic struggles, he strokes his heart with loud invocation, keeps check on his inciting innerself (nafs) by meditation, remains busy in supererogatory prayers, spends his nights in prayers and days in fasting but has no knowledge and vision of his esoteric self (batin). He just shows off to be having Divine experiences by his conversation.
The other way is Sarwari Qadri in which the perfect Fakir actually experiences the ecstatic states of Divine closeness, union and vision and can take his seekers to the Divine company and union and bless him with the status of truth of certainty (haq al-yaqin). Only such Sarwari Qadri Fakir is trustworthy because he is the killer of inciting innerself and the commander who steps forward boldly in the battlefield of Divine Truth. (Mehak-ul-Faqr Kalan)
Sarwari Qadri swears oath on the hands of the Holy Prophet
The name of Sarwari Qadri way is ‘Sarwari’ because it means to have oath of allegiance at the sacred hands of the Holy Prophet and ‘Qadri’ means to follow the path of Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani. Sultan-ul-Arifeen Sultan Bahoo said:
Sarwari Qadri is actually the one who swears allegiance upon the hands of Prophet Mohammad sall’Allahu alayhi wa’alihi wasallam. All the evils and immoral behaviors are removed from his self and is blessed with the Divine favour to adopt the way of sharia. (Mehak-ul-Faqr Kalan)
Some Sarwari Qadri have such elite status that they directly find the blessing of benevolence of Prophet Mohammad and then he hands them over to Shaikh Abdul Qadir Jilani, and he also blesses them in such a way that they are never separated from him even for a single moment. (Mehak-ul-Faqr Kalan)
Spiritual guide grants Ism-e-Allah Zaat
The Sarwari Qadri way is free from the pain of mystic struggles, forty day seclusions, practice of holding breath, complications of initial levels, invocation and meditation. Moreover there are not any apparent saintly dresses or styles in this way, as there are no superficial saintly manners like holding a stick or chaplet or wearing cloak and turban etc. The specialty of this way is that the perfect spiritual guide takes the seeker to the extreme limits on the very first day by giving him the king of invocations (Sultan-ul-Azkar), contemplation of Ism-e-Allah Zaat and practice of inscribing Ism-e-Allah Zaat on body with index finger. While the other ways do not have all these that is why Sultan Bahoo says that the initial level of Sarwari Qadri disciple is equal to the extreme level of disciples of other ways.
